CHILDREN LITURGY

The reading of the Word of God is an important part of Mass, through which we hear the Good News of plentiful redemption.

Each Sunday at 10.00 am, the children have their own Liturgy of the Word - an opportunity to hear God's Word in their language and to engage in activities that will help them to a greater understanding of that Word.

The children and catechists meet in the prayer room in the monastery, preferably no later than 9.55 am. The Children's Liturgy is intended for children of school ages. If you are unsure that your child is of the right age, go along on Sunday and talk to the catechist who will be pleased to help.

After the Creed and the Prayers of the Faithful, the children join the parish community for the remainder of Mass and often share something of the work they have done.

At Holy Communion, children who have not yet made their First Holy Communion are encouraged to come forward with their parents for a blessing.

The Children's Liturgy Team are always grateful for more help and participation from parents. If you would like more information or would like to help, please contact the parish office

Please note, if you wish to be involved you will be required to follow the procedures laid down in our child protection policy.
