Parent & Toddler Group

The parent and toddler group meet every Friday during term-time. Everyone is welcome and it is a great way to meet people if you are new to the area, or a new parent. We charge £1.00 per family just to cover our costs.

The group starts at 10.00 am and finishes around 11.30 am. We meet in St. Mary's Hall, St. Alphonsus Road (side entrance via ramp for push chairs). The hall is very spacious and particularly in the winter the children love to use up all that excess energy.

Tea and coffee is served for the first hour. At around 11.10 am the children are given a juice and fruit and we sing a few songs before going home. All our toys have been donated and we have been very lucky with the number of items we have been given. We have a baby-puzzles table and we have a craft activity each week. Usually this involves sticking and pasting! Some recent examples are paper masks and decorating Christmas baubles. Father Christmas visited last term and we have held winter and summer parties, following the group on a Friday.

Anyone is welcome to pop in and there is no obligations to come every week. However, it is not a drop-off centre and you (parent/carer) are responsible for your own child at all times. If you would like more information please contact the parish office.
