Parish Pastoral Council

The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) supports and enables others to achieve and make things happen in the parish. Where appropriate, it co-ordinates parish activities and encourages members to contribute to the life of the parish. It seeks new ways of acknowledging and celebrating the gifts of parishioners. It reflects on and plans for the future direction of the parish.

The members engage with one another prayerfully and reflectively and in a spirit of collaboration.

The PPC meets about eight times a year. For further information, plese contact the parish office.

The PPC Mission Statement:

The role of the Parish Pastoral Council is to facilitate the development of St. Mary's Parish as a welcoming, Eucharistic community, witnessing to Christian faith in prayer and action.

We will achieve this by:

Reflecting on and planning for the future direction of the parish;
Supporting, enabling and co-ordinating parish activities, as necessary;
Identifying and celebrating the gifts of the parishioners, and encouraging
everyone to participate in the life of the parish;
Engaging ecumenically with neighbouring faith communities.
