JOURNEY OF FAITH

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS (RCIA)

The journey of faith is a process for all those who wish to learn more about the catholic church. It is sometimes called RCIA.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The journey of faith is intended for people who are not baptised and want to know the catholic church more.

It is also for those who are baptised into another christian church and would like to be full members of the catholic church.

Sometimes a catholic who have been away from the practice of the faith for a while may also find it helpful to deepen their understanding of what it means to be a catholic today.

WHAT IT INVOLVES

We meet once a week from September/October until after Easter. The meetings are informal, begin at 8.00 pm, they are usually about an hour and take place in St. Mary's Conference Room, St. Alphonsus Road. The meeting starts with a scripture reading and prayer. Topics are chosen to help those who want to know more about ~Catholic teaching and way of life.
