WISDOM & INSIGHT

Feed your faith and your doubts will starve to death.

God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.

It isn't difficult to make a mountain out of a molehill just add a little dirt.

A successful marriage isn't finding the right person - it's being the right person.

The mighty oak tree was once a little nut that held its ground.

To forgive is to set the prisoner free, and then discover that the prisoner was you.

You have to wonder about humans . . . they think God is dead and Elvis is alive.

It's all right to sit on your pity pot every now and again.  Just be sure to flush when you are done.

If the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, you can be sure the water bill is higher.

Give God what's right - not what's left.

Man's way leads to a hopeless end - God's way leads to an endless hope.

He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.

In the sentence of life, the devil may be a comma but never let him be the period.

Don't put a question mark where God puts period.

Are you wrinkled with burden?  Come to church for a face-lift.

When praying, don't give God instructions - just report for duty.

The church is prayer-conditioned.

WARNING:  Exposure to the Son may prevent burning.

Plan ahead - it wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.

Suffering from truth decay?  Brush up on your Bible.

Never give the devil a ride - he will always want to drive.

Nothing else ruins the truth like stretching it.

Compassion is difficult to give away because it keeps coming back.

He who angers you controls you.

Worry is the darkroom in which negatives can develop.

Give Satan an inch and he'll be a ruler.

Be you fisher of men - you catch them and He'll clean them.

God doesn't call the qualified.  He qualifies the called.

Read the Bible - It will scare the hell out of you.

Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory position.

Before you criticise someone, walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, if he gets angry, he's a mile away and barefoot.

Every person is a damned fool for at least five minutes every day.  Wisdom consists in not exceeding the limit.

If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging.

Repentance is the fast track to God

Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

Everyone has a photographic memory.  Some just don't have film.

Strange how much you've got to know before you know how little you know.

A deaf husband and a blind wife are always a happy couple.

THE VALUE OF TIME . . .
To learn the value of a year  . . .  ask a student who has failed an exam;
To learn the value of a month  . . .  ask a mother who gave birth to her  child prematurely;
To learn the value of a week  . . .  ask an editor of a weekly magazine;
To learn the value of a day  . . .  ask a person who is terminally ill;
To learn the value of an hour  . . .  ask a departing loved one at the departure lounge of an airport;
To learn the value of a minute  . . .  ask someone who has missed his train, bus or plane;
To learn the value of a second  . . .  ask someone who has lost a loved one in an accident;
To learn the value of a millisecond  . . .  ask somone who has won a silver medal at the Olympics;
Time waits for no one  . . .  make good use of every moment you have and it will be of great value  . . .  share it with a person of your choice and it will become more precious still.

Don't be irreplaceable - if you can't be replaced, you won't be promoted.

IF, If . . .

If you woke up this morning
with more health than illness,
you are more blessed than the
million who won't survive the week.

If you have never experienced
the danger of battle,
the loneliness of imprisonment,
the agony of torture or
the pangs of starvation,
you are ahead of 20 million people
around the world.

If you attend a church meeting
without fear of harassment,
arrest, torture, or death,
you are more blessed than almost
three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator,
clothes on your back, a roof over
your head and a place to sleep,
you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank,
in your wallet, and spare change
in a dish someplace, you are among
the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still married and alive,
you are very rare,
especially in the United States.

If you hold up your head with a smile
on your face and are truly thankful,
you are blessed because the majority can,
but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them
or even touch them on the shoulder,
you are blessed because you can
offer God's healing touch.

If you can read this message,
you are more blessed than over
two billion people in the world
that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways
you may never even know.
