Message from Fr Richard Reid CSsR
I write this message because I want to say hello to you and ask how you are?
This is very strange for me approaching you in this way, knowing that there will be no immediate follow up to a bulletin message. Nonetheless I want you to know that I miss you here in the church and I miss the deep spirituality that we all create when we are together to give praise to God. Know that I am holding you all in prayer!
We enter Holy Week now and prepare ourselves to walk the way of the cross that Jesus walked for each one of us. Let us however remember that the way of the cross ultimately leads to the empty tomb; but before we get there we have to walk in the footsteps of the Lord.
Liturgy will be live streamed from the Church, sadly without all of you.
Here are some of the way in which you can tune in on us

I hope you find some of our material useful - there is also 'a Thought for Day’ given by a different person from the community each day - just to help us all get through day by day - that too can be found via some of the media sites above.
During the Sacred Triduum the services will be live streamed atÂ
9th April Mass of the Lord’s Supper Holy Thursday - 7pm
10th April Good Friday -Â Passion - 3pm
Good Friday -Â Way of the Cross 7pm
11th April Holy Saturday -Â Morning Prayer 10am
Easter Vigil - 8pm
12th April Easter Sunday Mass - 12noon
During the Triduum you may see some people in the Church, please don’t think we have opened the church to let people in, no, these are the other Redemptorist Priests and Brothers in the monastery with us.
Other than that the Mass is celebrated every day at 6pm - Mon through to Friday
and then at 12 noon Saturday and Sunday.
Devotions to Our Mother of Perpetual Succour followed by Benediction is at 6pm on Saturday
This is a lot of information, and I am glad to be getting it out to you all.
Some of our parishioners have volunteered to get shopping for those who are vulnerable or at risk - may I just say, Thank You to all involved. It is a very kind service.
Sadly we have some people in the parish who are mourning the death of loved ones and I don’t want to write this message without saying something to them. - Know that we can do nothing to take your pain away, but we are here supporting you with our thoughts and prayers - you are not on your own. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen. -
Know that you have the prayers, love and support of the 10 Redemptorists here in this community.
Keep safe, keep sane and keep the faith!
Peace,
Fr RIchard CSsR
